Taking freehand steam twisting further, Roy explored where they should be made.
Vapore is a Fence which is also a Bench - you sit on the fence to enjoy the countryside.
Because its freehand bent using green wood, its ideal for making in the woodlands where the ash thinnings orignate. 2015
Alongside tutors in the Arts at Plymouth University and curators of Plymouth City Museum, the exhibition explores the experience of visiting museums.
Roy explored freehand steam twisting, and exhibited a prototype sculpture of a circular bench.
Inspiration came from a swan’s neck, its skeleton on display hanging in the lobby of Plymouth Museum. 2011
Centre of Contemporary Art and the Natural World Summer Show

Roy joint forces with CCANW's Clive Adams to curate their Summer Show of Inspirational Wood Designs from the South West.
Among the exhibitors are renowned designer makers including Richard La Trobe Bateman, Matthew Burt, Tony Portus, Robert Kilvington, and Andrea Stemmer.
CCANW is in Haldon Forest, with walks and cycle hire, and the show is on through the summer 2008.
Homes For Good Show
Roy and a group of 2nd and 3rd year Plymouth students to exhibit at the Homes For Good show.
They were selected to be filmed by the BBC's 'Inside Out' program on how designers respond to climate change.
Their sustainable designs on show included Recycled Seating, Sustainable Tourism and Energy Saving Radiators and Lighting.
Eco tutor Asaf Tolkovsky from Bridport showed alongside Roy's work. 2007
